Frightfully Fun DSP Happy Halloween Swap Cards

At the end of July, I attended a fun Stampin’ Up! Arizona Demo event. I made this fun but simple Halloween card as my swap card (a card swap is when you make a specific amount of the same card to trade with others). I used the Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper, the Web of Fun dies, and the cat from the Oh My Fright bundle. You can check out how I made this card on my YouTube channel.

Start with a Pumpkin Pie cardstock card base. Cut a front panel from the Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper. Cut a Basic Black cardstock layer panel and glue the DSP panel to the cardstock layer. Wrap the panels with the Black Iridescent ribbon and secure the ends with Tear & Tape.

Cut a strip of Basic Black cardstock. Add adhesive strip on one side and heavy duty packing tape to the other. Die cut out the sentiments from the Web of Fun dies with the adhesive side on the bottom. Peel off the protective sheet from the adhesive and add the now shiny die cut sentiments above the wrapped ribbon on the panels.

Stamp the scared cat image from the Oh My Fright stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the cat with Stampin’ Blends, add Wink of Stella for sparkle, and add white dots with the White Gel pen. Use the Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend to color around the colored cat and then die cut out the cat with the Oh My Fright dies.

I used a action Wobbles mini action spring under the cat. I added white dots onto the cat on the right with the Stampin’ Up! White Gel Pen.

Use a Wobble or black Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the die cut & colored cat to the bottom right side of the panel below the wrapped ribbon. Tie a small bow with the Black Iridescent ribbon and attach the bow to the left side of the wrapped ribbon. Add Basic Rhinestones to the top right corner of the front panel. Glue the built panels to the card base.

Cut a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the bats at the top right corner and the sentiment in the bottom left corner from the Oh My Fright stamp set in Memento Black ink. Add a strip of Frightfully Fun DSP to the bottom of the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Pumpkin Pie cs card base – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″.
Basic Black cs panel layer – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
Frightfully Fun DSP panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″ plus two 3/8″ x 4″ strips.
Basic Black cs die cut sentiments – 2″ x 10″ (with packing tape/ adhesive) die cut with the Web of Fun dies.
Basic White cs cat – die cut with Oh My Fright dies.
Black Iridescent ribbon
