Everything is Rosy DSP Rosette Birthday Card

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

This week’s Global Design Challenge is a CASEing challenge of a fabulous card by Kerstin Kreis. I had to break out my stash of retired punches and glitter enamel dots combined with the Everything is Rosy Medley to create my card.

I used the Simply Scored tool to make my rosette for the card front using two 6″ x 1 1/2″ strips of Everything is Rosy DSP. I used Tear and Tape to attach the two pieces together and then used hot glue to form my rosette using my craft silicone mat.

Start with a Night of Navy cs card base. Cute a Whisper White cs panel, dry emboss it with the Ornate Garden 3D embossing folder, and then glue it to the card base.

Punch out a bunch of 1/2″ and 3/8″ circles ( I used my retired Stampin’ Up! punches) from the Everything is Rosy DSP. I used glue to randomly attach them to the card front using the rosette as a guide.

Punch out a 2″ Vellum cs circle with the 2″ Circle Punch. Stamp the sentiment from the Everything is Rosy stamp set in Night of Navy ink on an Everything is Rosy Rose Gold Edged tag. Add Rose Gold Shimmer Paint dots to the tag (I used my Simply Scorer stylist to make the dots) – make sure the paint completely drys.

Attach the rosette to the card front using hot glue. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment tag to the vellum cs circle. Use hot glue to adhere the sentiment tag/vellum cs circle to the front of the rosette and then hot glue to attach the rosette to the card front. Tie a small bow the Night of Navy Rose Gold edged ribbon from the Everything is Rosy Medley and use a glue dot to attach it to the card front under the right side of the sentiment on the rosette.

Cut and stamp the Whisper White cs sentiment banner using the Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker on the sentiment from the Everything is Rosy stamp set and flag the end with the paper snips. Use glue dots to add a small piece of Melon Mambo ruched ribbon from the Everything is Rosy Medley to the top left of the card front and the Whisper White cs flagged sentiment banner. I added retired glitter enamel dots for sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Night of Navy ink on the inside panel. I also added a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
