Amazing Phrasing Hippo Card

For this week’s Global Design Project #GDP355 theme challenge I used three Sale-A-Bration exclusive products that are only available while supplies last or until August 31st to create my card. I combined the super cute hippo from the Sale-A-Bration Hippest Hippos stamp set with the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper and a sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration Amazing Phrasing stamp set.

Start with the Gray Granite cardstock (cs) card base. Cut an Early Espresso cs panel and a Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper (DSP) panel. Use the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiments from the Amazing Phrases stamp set in Early Espresso ink on the bottom of the DSP panel. Glue the stamped DSP panel to the Early Espresso cs panel. Wrap the panels with Pale Papaya Open Weave ribbon above the sentiment using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends on the back of the panels and then glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Stamp the hippo image from the Hippest Hippos stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Basic White cardstock. Die cut out the image with the Hippo dies. Color the hippo with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the flower and hippo’s eye for sparkle.

Use Stamp’ Dimensionals to add the colored hippo above the sentiment overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Tie a small bow with the Pale Papaya Open Weave ribbon and add it to the left side of the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Add Fine Sparkle Adhesive – Backed Gems to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of DSP to the inside down the right side and a strip across the back of the card to pull the theme through.

Early Espresso cs panel – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
Abigail Rose DSP panel – 5 1/2″ x 4″ plus one 5 1/8″ x 1 1/4″ & one 1/4″ x 4″ strips.
Basic White cs hippo – die cut with Hippo Dies.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
