Winter Wishes Snow Crystal Card

This week’s Global Design Project has a fabulous card created by by Wilma de Korte, from the Netherlands, for the CASE the Designer challenge. I decided to use the gorgeous Snow Crystal background stamp from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog, the Wintery 3d embossing folder, Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper, and the sentiment from the Yeti To Party stamp set.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

Start with a Pool Party cardstock card base. Cut a Basic White cardstock panel and a Storybook Gnome Designer Series Paper panel. Use the Stamparatus to stamp the Snow Crystal background stamp in Coastal Cabana ink on the left side of the Basic White cardstock panel with the image slightly off the panel. Stamp the set sentiment from the Yeti To Party stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on the lower right side of the Basic White cardstock panel. Then dry emboss the stamped Basic White cardstock panel with the Wintery 3D embossing folder. The Wintery 3D embossing folder is a mini embossing folder so position it so that it will emboss across the center of the Basic White cardstock panel. Then use the blade of paper snips to rough the top edge of the stamped & embossed Basic White cardstock panel.

Add the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper panel to the bottom of the Basic White cardstock panel with glue and then glue the built panel to the card base. Flick ink splatter from both the Light & Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends and Wink of Stella across the card front.

Wrap a piece of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon around the card front over the Basic White cardstock and Designer Series Paper transition and tie a bow. Add rhinestones to the card front for extra sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the snowflake image from the Yeti To Party stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink, flick ink splatter with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend, and add a strip of Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
