For this week’s Global Design Project color challenge I created my own designer series paper with the Textured Florals stamp set using these lovely colors. I paired the created designer series paper with the die cut sentiment from the Wanted To Say dies to create my card.
Start with an Azure Afternoon cardstock card base. Cut a Blueberry Bushel cardstock panel and glue it to the card base. I cut a Basic White cardstock piece (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) to create my own designer series paper. I stamped the large flower from the Textured Florals stamp set in Azure Afternoon ink multiple times on the Basic White cardstock piece. Stamp the small flower from the Textured Florals stamp set in Berry Burst ink multiple times on the Basic White cardstock piece in between the larger flowers. Stamp the splatter image from the Textured Florals stamp set in 1st and 2nd generation (stamped off) Blueberry Bushel ink to fill the remaining blank spots. Stamp the flower center image from the Textured Florals stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink in the center of the Azure Afternoon large flowers. Add Wink of Stella to all the flowers for sparkle.
Cut a front panel from the created Textured Florals designer series paper piece (5 1/4″ x 4″) and two strips (1/2″ x 4″). Cut an Azure Blue strip and glue it across the Textured Florals designer series paper panel and use paper snips to trim the strip to fit smooth against the panel. Wrap the Textured Florals designer series paper panel on the Azure Afternoon strip with Azure Afternoon Sheer ribbon using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends on the back of the panel. Use glue to add the wrapped panel to the Blueberry Bushel cardstock panel on the card front.
Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched rectangle with the Radiating Stitches dies. Die cut a Blueberry Bushel cardstock sentiment layer and a Berry Burst cardstock sentiment with the Wanted To Say dies. Glue the Berry Burst cardstock sentiment to the Blueberry Bushel cardstock sentiment layer. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the die cut sentiments to the Basic White cardstock stitched rectangle. Use more Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the Basic White cardstock stitched rectangle to the lower left side of the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Tie a bow with the Azure Afternoon Sheer ribbon and use glue dots to add it to the top right corner of the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Add Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems from the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack to the card front around the stitched rectangle.
Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of created Textured Florals designer series paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. Stamp the sentient from the Layering Leaves stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink above the designer series paper strip.
I also stamped the splatter image and small floral from the Textured Florals stamp set on the back of the card.
I hope you enjoyed my #GDP397 Wanted To Say Textured Floral card. You can order the Textured Florals stamp set, the Layering Leaves stamp set, Wanted to Say dies, and the Radiating Stitches dies in my Online Store.
