Translucent Florals Delightful Doily Card

For this week’s Global Design Project color challenge I created a lovely floral card using the upcoming September–December 2023 Mini Catalog Translucent Florals bundle with the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder & Dies and the Textured Floral dies.

Start with Lemon Lolly cardstock card base. Cut Bubble Bath cardstock panel and dry emboss it with the Delightful Doily Hybrid embossing folder. Die cut a Basic White cardstock doily with the Delightful Doily Hybrid dies and glue it to the Bubble Bath cardstock panel so it fits over the doily impression. Wrap the embossed Bubble Bath cardstock panel & Basic White cardstock doily with White Glittered Organdy ribbon using Tear & Tape to secure the ends on the back of the panel. Glue the wrapped panel to the card front.

Stamp two large flowers and one medium flower Bubble Bath ink, three small flowers in Lemon Lolly ink, and two leaf sprigs in Parakeet Party ink from the Translucent Florals stamp set on Basic White cardstock. Die cut the flowers and sprigs out with the Translucent Florals dies. Die cut two Parakeet Party cardstock leaf sprigs and three flower centers with the Textured Floral dies.

Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to build the floral bouquet on the doily overlapping the wrapped ribbon on the card front with the stamped & die cut flowers & sprigs, and die cut Parakeet Party cardstock sprigs. Tie a bow with the White Glittered Organdy ribbon and use glue dots to add it to the left side of the floral bouquet over the wrapped ribbon. Cover the entire card front with sparkle by flicking Wink of Stella over the card front. Add white sequins from the Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio pack to the card front within the floral bouquet and in the flower centers.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add an embossed Bubble Bath cardstock strip and stamp the sentiment from the Layering Leaves stamp set in Parakeet Party ink on the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through. Cover the entire inside of the card with sparkle by flicking Wink of Stella over the inside panel.

Parakeet Party cs sprigs – die cut with the Textured Florals dies.
Basic White cs flowers & leaves – die cut with the Translucent Florals dies.
Bubble Bath cs flower centers – die cut the Textured Florals dies.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
