Them Bones DSP Heartfelt Hexagon Punch Card

For this week’s Global Design Project theme project I used the Online Exclusive Heartfelt Hexagon Punch to punch out Them Bones Designer Series Paper to create my pattern Halloween card.

Start with a Pumpkin Pie cardstock card base. Cut a Basic Black cardstock panel and a Them Bones Designer Series Paper panel. Punch out six different Them Bones Designer Series Paper hexagons with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. Layout the hexagons on the left side of the Them Bones Designer Series Paper panel to create a pattern that you like (I took a photo of the layout to remember which hexagon went where). Glue the hexagons to the left side of the Them Bones Designer Series Paper panel and then use paper snips to cut off the access so that the hexagons are flush with the sides of the Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the built Designer Series Paper panel to the Basic Black cardstock panel and then glue them both to the card base.

Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched banner and a Basic Black cardstock stitched banner with the Nested Essentials dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Pick of the Patch stamp set in Memento Black on the Basic White cardstock stitched banner. Cut the Basic Black cardstock stitched banner in half with paper snips. Use Stampin’ Seal to add the Basic Black cardstock stitched banner halves behind the Basic White cardstock stitched banner and then glue the banners on the top right of the card front flush with the Basic Black cardstock layer.

Stamp the small grave stones from the Tricks & Treats stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Basic White cardstock. Fussy cut out the grave stones with paper snips. Glue the grave stones to the bottom right side of the card front. Stamp the bats from the Tricks & Treats stamp set in Memento Black ink and use the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (to stamp the two smaller bats) on the card front above the graves stones. Add Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to the sentiment stitched banners and card front and Wink of Stella to the skeleton’s eyes, cat’s eyes, and the grave stones for sparkle.

Cut a Basic White cardstock panel to write your message. Add the Basic Black cardstock strip, the Them Bones Designer Series Paper strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. Stamp the sentiment and cat from the Bag of Bones stamp set and the bats from the Tricks & Treats in Memento Black ink on the inside panel.

Pumpkin Pie cs card base – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.
Basic Black cs panel – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ plus two 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ strips.
Them Bones DSP panel – 4″ x 5 1/4″ plus two 1/2″ x 5 1/4″.
Them Bones DSP hexagons – six hexagons punched with the Heartfelt Hexagon punch and fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs sentiment banner – die cut with the Nested Essentials dies.
Basic Black cs sentiment banner layer – die cut with the Nested Essentials dies and cut in half with paper snips.
Basic White cs inside panel – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
