Stampin’ Up! is revamping our Online Store and web content which is awesome but all our old blog content will be going away – so I’ll be migrating over my favorite projects.
For this Stash Sunday I’m sharing this super cute window box.
I made this box last July when my upline’s swap theme was a Summer 3D project and I just had to use one of my favorite stamp sets – All Good Things. I just fell in love with these Koi fish. I did end up cutting the large Koi fish from its sentiment to maximize the set.
I decided it would look awesome on a Window Box Thinlits dies box. At first I stamped both sides of the box pieces.
Although it was pretty, having the same thing on the outside as the inside made the window less special. So I decided to use the awesome (now retired) Tranquil Tide DSP.
I used the Layering Square dies and Layering Circle dies on the Tranquil Tide cs to frame the openings into the box that I covered with window sheets. I used the Eastern Medallions dies to cut the flower in the top of the box and cut out another flower in Calypso Coral cs to add color to the top. I stamped the Koi fish in Calypso Coral and used the seaweed stamp from the Sea of Textures in Tranquil Tide ink. I used a sponge dauber to sponge a little Pool Party ink around the images to finish off the inside.
I added clear rhinestone basic jewels and Wink of Stella for shine. I was pretty happy with how they turned out. I filled them with a few butterscotch candies.
I hope you enjoyed this look back this Stash Sunday and inspired you to break out your old Window box thinlits to make your own boxes.
