Stampin’ Up!® Snow Wonder Happy Christmas Card

Card Measurements, Supply List, and printable PDF tutorial for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

This week’s Global Design Project is a Color Challenge that is perfect for Christmas Cards. I used the Snow Wonder bundle and the Winter Snow embossing folder to create my card.

Start with a Just Jade cs card base and dry emboss the front with the Winter Snow embossing folder. Cut the Whisper White cs panel and the Real Red cs panel. Make a mask by stamping the trees from the Snow Wonder stamp set on a post it note – making sure the bottom edge of the trees is above the sticky backing and then closely fussy cutting them out. Then use the mask to stamp the trees across the Whisper White cs panel in full and 2nd generation Garden Green ink. Then glue the stamped Whisper White cs panel to the Real Red cs panel. Wrap the panels with the Real Red Sheer ribbon using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends to the back of the panels. Adhere the wrapped panels to the card front using glue.

Stamp the snowman from the Snow Wonder stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Die cut out the snowman with the Snow Time dies. Color the snowman with the Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Apply the Shimmery Crystal Effects to the snowman’s eyes, mouth, buttons and base snow for texture (make sure that it dries completely). Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the snowman to the left side of the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon, Whisper White cs/Real Red cs panel, and the embossed card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Fussy cut out the sentiment with paper snips. Using the sentiment panel as a guide, fussy cut out a Just Jade cs sentiment panel layer and glue them together. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment panels on the right side of the snowman at a slight angle overlapping the wrapped ribbon.

Tie a small bow with the Real Red Sheer ribbon and use glue dots to attach it over the sentiment panels. Then use glue and the Take Your Pick tool to add Snowflake sequins to the card front and sentiment panel.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Memento Black ink and stamped the trees from the Snow Wonder stamp set in full and 2nd generation Garden Green ink (using the post it note mask) to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Snow Wonder Happy Christmas card. You can order the Snow Wonder Bundle, the Winter Snow embossing folder, the Shimmery Crystal Effects, and the Snowflake Sequins in my Online Store and be sure to check out the Quite Curvy Variety Bundle products that are available now.
