Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home New Horizons Cards

My favorite new suite from the new January-February 2022 Mini Catalog is the gorgeous New Horizons Suite. The New Horizons Designer Series Paper is stunning and I couldn’t wait to create with it. For these two cards I used the same Heart & Home Memories & More Cards & Envelopes card base paired with a piece of New Horizons DSP (I used a whole piece on each card). On one card I stamped in Memento Black ink & used Black Baker’s Twine and on the other I stamped in Misty Moonlight ink & used Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker’s Twine. Please let me know in the comments which one you like better.

Start with a Heart & Home Memories & More Cards & Envelopes card base. Cut a New Horizons DSP panel. Stamp the small sailing boat from the Sailing Home stamp set in either Memento Black ink or Misty Moonlight ink on the DSP panel. Use a Blender Pen to add Misty Moonlight ink to the boat and sails. Stamp the birds from the On the Horizon stamp set in either Memento Black ink or Misty Moonlight ink across the upper right side of the DSP panel. Glue the stamped DSP panel to the card front.

Die cut a Basic White cs stitched label with the Smooth Sailing dies. Stamp the sentiment from the On the Horizon stamp set either Memento Black ink or Misty Moonlight ink on the label. Use Stampin’ Seal to add either Black Baker’s Twine or Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker’s Twine (from the Flowers of Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack) to loop on the back of the stitched label. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment stitched label to the top left of the card front.

I added a Basic White cs inside panel inside of the Heart & Home Memories & More Card & Envelopes card base to give the card more stability. I stamped the sentiment from the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in either Memento Black ink or Misty Moonlight ink on the inside panel.

I added strips of New Horizons DSP with stamped birds from the On the Horizon stamp set in either Memento Black ink or Misty Moonlight ink to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. I also stamped the sailboat & bird images on the envelopes.
