Stampin’ Up!® Positive Thoughts Butterflies Card

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

This week’s Global Designer Project is to CASE a lovely card by Susan Wong. I created a fun card with the Butterfly Brilliance butterflies and the sentiment from the Positive Thoughts stamp set.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

Start with a Petal Pink cs card base. Cut a Fine Art DSP panel. Die cut two sprigs with the Meadow dies from the Pale Papaya 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum. Glue the Shimmer Vellum sprigs to the Fine Art Floral DSP panel down the right side. Then wrap the panel with the White Basic Twine using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends on the back of the panel and glue it to the card front.

Stamp the butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cs. Color the butterflies with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Die cut out the butterflies with the Brilliant Wings dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the butterflies to the card front.

Cut a Basic White cs sentiment panel and stamp the sentiment from the Positive Thoughts stamp set in Memento Black ink. Use glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the the sentiment panel to the card front overlapping the twine and tucked between the butterflies. Add Artistry Blooms Sequins to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Stamp the butterfly image (I used my Butterfly Brilliance stamp set that I cut the butterflies apart or you can use the butterfly from the Positive Thoughts stamp set) and added a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
