Stampin’ Up! Flowering Fields Swallows Card

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

The January-June 2022 Mini Catalog Last Chance Sale is going on now and products are already starting to sell out. The Soaring Swallows stamp set may have already sold out but the Swallows Dies are still available & discounted. I couldn’t resist using these fabulous dies on this card! I also used two different sheets of the beautiful retiring Flowering Fieldes Designer Series Paper to create another rolled torn edge reveal technique card with some lovely Pearlescent Specialty Paper swallows. If you want to see this technique in action you can check out my other rolled torn edge reveal technique card on my blog here and watch the YouTube video of that project here.

The January-June 2022 Mini Catalog Last Chance Sales period June 1st – 31st and all retiring products are only available while supplies last. Shop now here.

Start with a Poppy Parade card base. Cut a Pool Party cardstock (cs) panel and the two Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper (DSP) panels . Score the larger Flowering Fields DSP panel and burnish the score lines. Gently tear the embossed Flowering Fields DSP panel along the score lines to create the reveal effect. Use glue to add the second smaller DSP panel on the back of the torn panel flush with the left edge so the desired pattern shows through. Glue the panels to the Pool Party cs panel and then glue them to the card base. Use a pencil or a paint brush to gently roll the torn DSP and then use a small amount of glue to secure the roll.

Stamp the sentiment from the Garden Birdhouse stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on Basic White cs. Use paper snips to closely fussy cut out the sentiment. Use glue to add it to the bottom left corner of the card front.

Die cut the Pearlescent Specialty paper swallows with the Swallows dies. Use glue dots to build the birds and add them to the card front. Add Iridescent rhinestones to the card front for sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Poppy Parade ink and add a strip of DSP to the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Flowering Fields Swallows card. You can order the Garden Birdhouses stamp set, the Peaceful Moments stamp set, the retiring Flowering Fields DSP and the retiring Swallows dies in my Online Store but don’t wait to buy the retiring Last Chance Sale products as they are only available while supplies last.
