Stampin’ Up!® Butterflies Thinking of You Card

For this week’s lovely Global Design Challenge color challenge I created a Thinking of You card with the beautiful Butterfly Brilliance stamp set & the sentiment from the Beautiful Moments stamp set with my Blender Pen and ink pads. I actually have two sets of these gorgeous Butterfly Brilliance stamp sets & Brilliant Wings dies – one set as is and one set I cut apart so I can easily stamp the butterflies and die cut them separately.

Start with a Night of Navy cs card base. Cut a Coastal Cabana Brights DSP panel, a Polished Pink cs panel, and a Basic White cs panel. Stamp the butterfly images (I used the set I cut apart) from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Basic White cs panel. Use a Blender Pen to pick up the color from the Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana, and Polished Pink ink pads by gently creating an ink well in the lid and then lifting the ink to color the butterflies. Then glue the panels together and to the card base.

Die Cut out a Polished Pink cs and a Basic White cs lace circle frame with the Encircled in Beauty dies. You will need the Polished Pink cs frame (not the circle) and the Basic White cs circle (not the frame). Use the Paper Trimmer to cut the right side of the Polished Pink cs frame so that you can glue it flush to the right side of the stamped Basic White cs panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Moments stamp set in Memento Black ink on the bottom slightly to the right on the Basic White cs circle. Then add the sentiment circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals into the Polished Pink cs lace frame so it slightly overlaps the DSP panel.

Stamp a butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cs. Color the butterfly with your Blender Pens & ink pads and then fussy cut it out. Gently curl the wings with your bone folder and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Cut a piece of White Glittered Organdy ribbon (available August 3rd) and use Stampin’ Seal to attach it to the top of the sentiment circle. Add the fussy cut butterfly with Stampin’ Dimensionals & glue dots over the ribbon.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment & butterflies and added a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
