Positive Thoughts 2018 – 2020 In Color Cards: Card 3

I created a set of 4 cards for the Stamping Lovelies color challenge. I started by making my own DSP using the Positive Thoughts stamp set and the 2018- 2019 In Colors. These bright and cheery colors are retiring in June so don’t wait to stock up on your favorites. You can see all the 2018 – 2020 In Color products here in my Online Store.

I made my own DSP by stamping the images on a full sheet of Whisper White cs.

I colored the butterflies with the Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blend. I cut the stamped Whisper White cs sheet (8 1/2″ x 11″) into four – 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ pieces to use on each card.

Start with a Call Me Clover cs card base. Trim down the stamped Whisper White cs panel (4″ x 5 1/4) and then glue it to the card base.

Die cut a Vellum cs panel with the Coordination Product Nature’s Thoughts dies. Add Snail to the center of the Vellum cs die cut panel to attach it to the center of the card front.

Dry emboss a piece of Pineapple Punch cs with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder (don’t forget to use the blue 3D Embossing Folder Plate to get the best impression). Die cut out a label panel with the Wild Rose dies. Glue the die cut embossed label panel to the center of the Vellum cs panel (completely covering where the snail adhesive might show through).

Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Call Me Clover ink on Whisper White cs. Punch out the sentiment with the Label Me Fancy punch. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the punched sentiment label to the embossed Pineapple Punch cs label panel slightly turned in the upper right side.

Stamp a butterfly with the Positive Thoughts stamp set in Grapefruit Grove ink on Whisper White cs and then die cut it out with the Nature’s Thoughts Dies. Color the butterfly with the combo Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends and then add Wink of Stella to the wings for sparkle.

With the Bone Folder gently curve the right side of the butterfly. Use glue and glue dots to attach the butterfly to the card front so one wing overlaps the sentiment label. Color pearls with the Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blend and add them to the sentiment label.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment and added an embossed Pineapple Punch cs strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
