North Pole Mischief Boughs of Holly DSP Card

For this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge I created a Christmas card using the adorable North Pole Mischief stamp set and the lovely Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper.

Start with an Cherry Cobbler cardstock card base. Cut an Old Olive cardstock panel and a Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the Old Olive cardstock panel straight on the card base and then glue the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper panel at an angle on the card front.

Stamp the cat & dog image from the North Pole Mischief stamp set in Memento Black ink using the Stamparatus (to get a dark black image) on Basic White cardstock. Color the image with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the cat & dog for sparkle. Fussy cut out the colored image with paper snips and glue it to the center of the card front at an angle.

Stamp the sentiment from the North Pole Mischief stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Use paper snips to fussy cut out and separate the sentiment. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiments to the card front overlapping and under the image. Add Rhinestones to the card front for sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment and dog paw from the Christmas Scottie stamp set in Memento Black ink on the inside panel. Add a strip of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Boughs of Holly DSP panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 3/4″ plus two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Basic White cs cat & dog – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs sentiment – fussy cut and separated with paper snips.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
