Halloween Mondays: Best Witches Gingham Cottage Card

Halloween is on a Monday this year and I’ll be counting down to Halloween with a new Halloween project on Mondays until October 31st.

Card Measurement, Supply List, and printable PDF for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

I created this fun card at this month’s Glimmer Gal (my upline) Zoom Craft Night. I only knew I wanted to make a Halloween themed card using the fabulous Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper and the Bewitching Bundle. For this Craft Night we were all emailed a fun Tic Tac Toe game. I not only was happy with how this card turned out but I also won the game.

Start with a Paper Pumpkin cardstock card base. Cut a Basic Black cardstock panel and a Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the panels together and then wrap them with Metallic Mesh ribbon using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends to the back of the panels. Glue the wrapped panels to the card front. Die cut a black Metallic & Shimmer Specialty paper texture piece with the Chic Dies and glue it to the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon.

Stamp the spider web witch hat from the Bewitching stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock, and punch is out with the Witch Hat Builder punch. Color the punched hat with Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella to the hat band for sparkle. Use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the hat to the card front overlapping the texture piece and the wrapped ribbon. Stamp the sentiment from the Best Witches stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock and fussy cut it out with paper snips. Use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment to the card front tucked into the left side of the hat overlapping the texture piece and the wrapped ribbon.

Stamp the spider image from the Bewitching stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock and fussy cut it out with paper snips. Use a Black Stampin’ Dimensional to add the spider to the hat band. Add Wink of Stella to the spider. Die cut Basic Black cardstock bats with the Scary Silhouette dies and use glue or glue dots to add them to the card front. Add Rhinestones to the card front for extra sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Best Witches stamp set in Memento Black ink. I used the Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to color the spider from the Best Witches stamp set and stamped it at the top of the inside panel. Stamp the frog image from the Best Witches stamp set in Memento Black ink and color it with Stampin’ Blends. Add a strip of Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
