Merry & Bright Sweet Candy Canes Bundle Card

Merry Christmas!! I hope everyone is staying safe & warm this holiday weekend! I created this lovely Christmas card in Polished Pink using the fabulous Sweet Candy Canes bundle, the Host Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper, the Wonderful Snowflakes, and a stitched banner die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies.

Start with a Polished Pink cardstock card base. Cut a Basic White cardstock panel and a Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper panel. Die cut the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper panel with the large panel die from the Candy Canes dies. Glue the die cut panel to the Basic White cardstock panel and then glue the panels to the card base.

I made a template (by die cutting out a candy cane from a thick Basic White cardstock panel) on my Stamparatus to stamp on a die cut Basic White cardstock candy cane with Polished Pink ink first and then stamp with Versamark ink, then add the Clear embossing powder, and heat with the Heat Tool.

Create two die cut and heat embossed candy canes. Use glue dots to add a Wonderful Snowflake to the top slightly left of the card front. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add one candy cane to the card front at an angle overlapping the Wonderful Snowflake. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals (only on the top and bottom) of the second candy cane and add it at an angle overlapping the bottom half of the first candy cane. Add another Wonderful Snowflake with glue dots to the center right of the card front overlapping the right side of the candy canes.

Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched sentiment banner with the Stylish Shapes dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set in Polished Pink ink on the stitched sentiment banner. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stitched sentiment banner to the card front overlapping the Wonderful Snowflake and the candy canes. Add Iridescent rhinestones to the stitched sentiment banner and the card front for sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set in Polished Pink ink on the inside panel.

Add a strip of Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
