Cake Fancy Celebrate Card

For last week’s Global Design Project’s #GDP463 theme challenge I created a lovely Birthday card with the Fancy Cake stamp set, the Iconic Imagery stamp set, the Wildflower Designs dies, and the Eyelet 3D embossing folder.

Start with a Bubble Bath cardstock card base. Cut a Smoky Slate cardstock panel, dry emboss it with the Eyelet 3D embossing folder, and add the embossed panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Die cut a large Bubble Bath cardstock label frame with the Wildflower Designs dies and use glue to add it to the card front. Die cut a large Basic White cardstock label with the Wildflower Designs dies. Stamp the cake stand in Smoky Slate ink, the cake in Crumb Cake ink, and the icing in Bubble Bath ink from the Cake Fancy stamp set on the Basic White cardstock label. Add Wink of Stella to the stamped cake. Stamp the sentiment from the Iconic Imagery stamp set in Memento Black ink across the cake. Stamp the sentiment from the Cake Fancy stamp set in Memento Black ink under the cake stand. Glue the stamped label into the label frame on the card front.

Stamp the flower bouquet from the Country Flowers stamp set three times in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the flower bouquet images with Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut out the images with paper snips (cutting two of the images apart). Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to build a flower bouquet with the image parts on the top left of the stamped cake. Make a small knot bow from White Glittered Organdy ribbon and use a glue dot to add it to the bottom of the flower bouquet. Add Iridescent Faceted Gems to the card front for sparkle.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add an embossed Smoky Slate cardstock strip to the bottom of inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in Memento Black ink above the embossed strip on the right side of the inside panel. Add a floral bouquet on the bottom left side of the inside panel overlapping the embossed strip.
