Welcome and Thank you for visiting Christy’s Stamping Spot! I’m Christy and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Arizona, USA. I’m excited to be taking part in the Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop with this fabulous group of Demonstrators! Our theme this month is Christmas in July.
To create this month’s Christmas in July card I used the Sale-A-Bration Hippest Hippos stamp set the and the 2022-2024 In Colors Gimmer paper with the fabulous Snowman Magic bundle.
Start with the Tahitian Tide cardstock (cs) card base. Cut a Shimmery White cs panel and a 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper panel. Die cut the large snowflake frame from the Snowman dies out of the center of the Glimmer paper. Use glue to add the frame to the Shimmery White cs panel. Wrap the panels with Balmy Blue Double-Stitched ribbon using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends on the back of the panels. Use glue to add the wrapped panels to the card front.
Cut a Shimmery White cs sentiment panel and a Tahitian Tide cs layer panel. Flag both ends of the Tahitian Tide cs layer panel with paper snips. Stamp the sentiment from the Snowman Magic stamp set in Tahitian Tide ink on the Shimmery White cs sentiment panel. Glue the stamped panel to the flagged layer panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiments panels to the left side of the card front slightly overlapping the wrapped ribbon.
Stamp the hippo from the Hippest Hippo stamp set in Memento Black ink on Shimmery White cs and then die cut the image with the Hippo dies. Color the hippo with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for extra sparkle. Stamp the hat from the Snowman Magic stamp set in Tahitian Tide ink on Shimmery White cs. Either die cut out the hat with the Snowman dies or fussy cut it out with paper snips.
Slightly bend the scarf stamp from the Snowman Magic stamp set on the clear block so it matches the curve of hippo and then stamp it twice – the second image so it connects to the first stamped image slightly at an upward angle. Fussy cut out the scarves, cutting off the second scarf tails. Use glue to add the scarf to the hippo. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the hippo to the card front with his feet tucked under the sentiment panels & snowflakes overlapping the wrap ribbon and slightly tucked into the right side snowflakes frame. Use a Stampin’ Dimensional to add the hat to the hippo. Die cut out 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper snowflakes with the Snowman dies and use glue dots to add them to sentiment panels and above the sentiment panels overlapping the ribbon. Also add Iridescent rhinestones to the card front for extra sparkle.
Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Snowman Magic stamp set in Tahitian Tide ink, add 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper snowflakes with glue dots & a Glimmer paper strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
I hope you enjoyed my Hippest Hippos Cool Christmas card. You can order The Snowman Magic bundle and Shimmery White cardstock in my Online Store and chose the Hippest Hippos stamp set (level 1), and the Hippo Dies (level 1) with qualifying orders.
