Halloween Monday: Design A Treat Boxes

Halloween is on a Monday this year and I’ll be counting down to Halloween with a new Halloween project on Mondays until October 31st.

Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

Happy Halloween!! Our Halloween has turned into a bust since several in my household…including me…has Covid. So no Trick or Treaters this year. We had to take down our decorations early and the big fuzzy spiders never left their storage container homes. But luckily I can still enjoy the these totes adorbs tiny treat boxes! These treat boxes are really tiny and would fit only one small piece of candy, but are so stinkin’ cute!! I added the die cut cat & haunted house from the Scary Silhouettes dies with only a little trimming so they fit great as well as die cut some ghosts from the Host Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper.

Our Ghost snow glob and Mama and baby cat ready to pounce.
The gnome has run into our two resident dragons.

I die cut this box from Basic Black cardstock with the Design a Treat Box dies and added a label on Crushed Curry cardstock in Basic Gray ink with the Design A Treat Box stamp set with Basic Black cardstock die cut numbers from the Design a Treat Box dies to both sides.

The tabs face out on this box and I added eyes to both tabs with the retired Stampin’ Chalk Marker. You could use a white gel pen or other chalk marker. I didn’t add embellishments on the tabs because the tabs have to fit back through the slots to open. The bat die cut slips between the two tabs and the wings hug around the box top.

I die cut this box from Basic Black cardstock with the Design a Treat Box dies. I die cut two Basic Gray cardstock haunted houses with Scary Silhouettes dies, slightly trimmed off some of the bottom fence to fit the box, add Basic Gray ink to the houses edges with a sponge dauber, and added a scrap of Crushed Curry cardstock to the back of each house to show through their windows. Add the houses to the sides of the treat box with glue.

The tabs on this box tuck into the box. Also die cut small Basic Black bats with the Scary Silhouettes dies and ghosts from the Host Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper with the tiny ovals from the Design a Treat Box dies to add to the sides of the box. I added Wink of Stella to the ghosts for sparkle.

This box is made from Basic Gray cardstock and stamped the dots image from the Design a Treat Box stamp set in Basic Gray ink. Die cut a pair of cats with the Scary Silhouette dies, slightly trim the base to fit the box so that the tail only sticks out a bit, and add a scrap of Crushed Curry cardstock behind the eyes of each cat. Use glue to adhere the cat to both sides of the box.

This box has the tabs tucked into the box.

I hope you enjoyed my Halloween Monday: Design A Treat Boxes. You can order the Design a Treat Box Bundle and the Scary Silhouettes dies in my Online Store and use Stampin’ Rewards to choose the Host Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper with a qualifying order.
