Global Design Project Mixed Media Florals #GDP478 Sketch Challenge Card

For this week’s Global Design Project Sketch Challenge I created a ‘hello’ card with the new Online Exclusives Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper, the flowers from the Mixed Florals stamp set, and the sentiment from the Everyday Arches stamp set.

Start with a Petal Pink cardstock card base. Cut a Basic Black cardstock panel and a Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper panel and then glue the panels together. Glue the panels to the card base. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers on the Designer Series Paper for sparkle.

Cut a small Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper panel and a Basic Black cardstock panel layer. Glue the panels together. Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched circle with the Stylish Shapes dies. Stamp the flowers from the Mixed Florals stamp set in Memento Black ink on the right side of the stitched circle. Stamp the sentiment from the Everyday Arches stamp set in Memento Black ink at the top of the stitched circle. Color the flowers with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for extra sparkle. Add Stampin’ Seal on the back of the right side of the stitched circle and add the stitched circle to the panels. Use glue to add the panels half and Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the stitched circle half to the card front.

Cut two Basic Black cardstock strips. Use glue to add the strips to the card front staggered below and to the right of the sentiment. Add black Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to the card front.

Cut a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper to the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Basic Black cs panel – 3 7/8″ x 5 3/8″.
Mixed Media Florals DSP panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″ plus two 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strips.
Basic Black cs panel layer – 3″ x 2″.
Mixed Media Florals DSP panel – 2 3/4″ x 1 3/4″.
Basic White cs stitched circle – (2 1/2″) die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies.
Basic Black cs strips – two 1/4″ x 2″ strips.
Basic White cs inside panel – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
