For last week’s Global Design Project Color Challenge (posted on Instagram), I created a lovely birthday card with 2025-2026 Annual Catalog Coneflower Celebrations bundle. I used the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set to make my own pattern paper on Basic White cardstock. I also used my Dark Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Blend to color the white ribbon (from the Misty Moonlight & White Starter Ribbon Pack) to match my card.

Start with a Strawberry Slush cardstock card base. Cut a Secret Sea cardstock panel and a Basic White cardstock panel. Stamp the coneflower stamp from the Coneflower Celebrations in 2nd generation (stamped off) Strawberry Slush ink multiple times on the Basic White cardstock panel. Then stamp the butterfly from the Coneflower Celebrations in 2nd generation (stamped off) Darling Duckling ink on the Basic White cardstock panel.

Die cut out a Secret Sea cardstock coneflower flower base with the from the Coneflower Celebrations dies. Stamp the coneflower stamp from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set in Secret Sea ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the flower with Stampin’ Blends & add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Use the Coneflower Celebrations dies to die cut out the colored flower & use paper snips to separate the flower. Die cut out a Basic White cardstock inside flower piece to go into the card base with the Coneflower Celebrations dies and use paper snips to separate the flower. Glue the colored flower onto the front of the Secret Sea cardstock flower base. Stamp the sentiment from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set in Secret Sea ink on the Basic White cardstock inside flower piece & then glue it into the Secret Sea cardstock flower base. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the flower base to the created pattern paper.

Stamp the flower stem from the Coneflower Celebrations in Secret Sea ink on Basic White cardstock and die cut it out with the Coneflower Celebrations dies. Die cut out three Secret Sea cardstock leaves (two of one kind and one of the other) with the Coneflower Celebrations dies. Glue the die cut stem & leaves under the flower base on the created Basic White cardstock pattern paper. Color the white ribbon (from the Misty Moonlight & White Starter Ribbon Pack) to match with the Dark Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Blend. Glue the built created Basic White cardstock panel to the Secret Sea cardstock panel. Wrap the panels with the Strawberry Slush colored ribbon, overlapping the built flower using Tear & Tape to secure the ends of the ribbon on the back of the panels. Glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Stamp the butterfly from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set in Secret Sea ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the butterfly with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Die cut out the colored butterfly with the Coneflower Celebrations dies. Use glue dots & a Stampin’ Dimensional to add the butterfly to the card front on the right side of the inside of the flower base (so it shows when the flower is closed).

Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel and a Secret Sea cardstock sentiment panel layer. Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in Secret Sea ink on the Basic White cardstock sentiment panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stamped sentiment panel to the Secret Sea cardstock sentiment panel layer. Use glue dots to add the sentiment panels to the lower left of card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Tie a bow in the colored ribbon and use glue dots to add it the right side of the sentiment overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Add 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls to the card front under the sentiment panels.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. I added a strip of created Basic White cardstock pattern paper to the bottom of the inside panel and the back of the card to pull the theme through. I also stamped the sentiment from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set in Secret Sea ink on the bottom right of the inside panel above the pattern paper strip.

I hope you enjoyed my Global Design Project #GDP497 Color Challenge Coneflower Celebrations card. You can order the Coneflower Celebrations bundle, the Simply Said stamp set, and the 2025-2027 In Color products in my Online Store.
