Global Design Project #GDP481 Mixed Florals Color Challenge Card

Card Measurements and Supply List with the printable PDF with the clickable (Print Recipe) link for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

For this week’s Global Design Project color challenge I created a lovely tulip card. I used the Mixed Florals stamp set, the Everyday Arches bundle, and the Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder to create my card.

Start with a Calypso Coral cardstock card base. Cut a Calypso Coral cardstock panel, dry emboss it with the Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder, and then glue it to the card front.

Die cut a Pretty Peacock cardstock arch and a Basic White cardstock arch with the Everyday Arches dies. Dry emboss the Pretty Peacock cardstock arch with the Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder. Stamp the tulip image from the Mixed Florals stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Basic White cardstock arch. Color the flower image with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Glue the stamped & colored Basic White cardstock arch to the embossed Pretty Peacock cardstock arch slightly to the left. Wrap the arches with White Woven ribbon using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends on the back of the arches. Use glue to add the wrapped arches to the card front.

Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Everyday Arches stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on the sentiment panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment panel to the card front slightly overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Tie a bow with the White Woven ribbon and use glue dots to add the bow to the wrapped ribbon above the left side of the sentiment panel. Add Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems to the card front.

Cut a Basic White cardstock panel to write your message. Stamp the tulip image from the Mixed Florals stamp set in Memento Black ink down the left side of the inside panel. Color the floral image with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Add an embossed Pretty Peacock cardstock strip to the bottom of the inside & bottom of the card to pull the theme through. Glue the inside panel into the card.
