Global Design Project 224 – Case the Designer with Special Someone

This week’s Global Design Project is a super fun card to CASE from Steffi Helmschrott. I added the bright swatches of color to my card created with the super cute raccoon from the Special Someone stamp set.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

Start with a Coastal Cabana cs card base. Cut the Gorgeous Grape cs and Whisper White cs panels. Glue the Gorgeous Grape cs panel to the card base.

Stamp the large texture stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set down the right side of the Whisper White cs in Poppy Parade ink, Melon Mambo ink, Flirty Flamingo ink, Gorgeous Grape ink, and Bermuda Bay ink. Stamp the heart balloon overlapping the textured Melon Mambo color on the right of the panel and the string (so it crosses over to the white space where you want to position your raccoon) in Memento Black ink. Trace the string with the dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend. Dry emboss the stamped Whisper White cs panel with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and then glue the embossed panel to the card base.

Stamp the raccoon base from the Special Someone stamp set in 2nd generation (stamped off) Soft Suede ink on Whisper White cs scrap. Stamp the raccoon outline from the Special Someone stamp set in Soft Suede ink over the first stamped image. Die cut out the raccoon with the Special Days Dies. Then glue the raccoon to the card base overlapping the balloon string. Add Wink of Stella to the raccoon’s face for sparkle.

Die cut the heart balloon shape with the Special Days dies from Pretty Peacock Noble Peacock foil. Use a Stampin’ Dimensional to attach the die cut foil heart over the stamped balloon.

Cut a Whisper White cs sentiment panel and stamp the sentiment from the Special Someone stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink. Cut a Gorgeous Grape cs strip and use glue to attach it to the back of the Whisper White cs sentiment panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment panels to the card front overlapping the raccoon and the texture color images. Add Gingham Gala adhesive backed sequins to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration Sending You Thoughts stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink on the inside panel. I then stamped the smallest texture image from the Painted Poppies stamp set to add the same colors to the inside panel and the back of the card to pull the theme through.
