Global Design Project 208 – Case the Designer with Monster Bash DSP & The Raven

This week’s Global Design Project challenge is to Case the Designer – the lovely Krista Frattin. I’m definitely in a Halloween mood so I used The Raven stamp set and the Monster Bash DSP for my card.

Start with a Basic Black cs card base. Cut a Soft Suede cs panel and use paper snips to rough the edges of the panel. Then glue the panel to the Basic Black cs card base.

Cut a Very Vanilla cs panel. Stamp the branch image from The Raven stamp set in Memento Black in and in 2nd generation ink (stamped off) on the Very Vanilla cs panel. Use a piece of Stampin’ Sponge to add Soft Suede ink to the edges and lightly across the stamped Very Vanilla cs panel and then glue it to the card front.

Cut the Basic Black cs banner and flag the end with the Banner Triple Punch. Dry emboss the flagged Basic Black cs banner with the Stylish Scroll embossing folder. Cut two pieces of Black Glittered Organdy ribbon and use Tear & Tape to adhere them to the sides of the embossed flagged Basic Black cs banner. Then adhere the ribbon/banner to the card front just below the center of the card front.

Die cut a haunted house image with the Stitched Shapes dies and a witch image with the Layering Circles dies from the Monster Bash DSP. Die cut a Very Vanilla cs scalloped circle layer with the Layering Circles dies and a Soft Suede cs scalloped square with the Layering Square dies. Use the piece of Stampin’ Sponge to add Soft Suede ink to the edges of the Very Vanilla cs scalloped circle. Glue the witch image to the sponged Very Vanilla cs scalloped circle and the haunted house image to the Soft Suede cs scalloped square. Add Wink of Stella to the witch’s lantern and to the windows of the haunted house for sparkle.

Stamp the sentiment from The Raven stamp set in Memento Black ink on a Very Vanilla cs scrap. Use paper snips to snip out the sentiment. Using the snipped sentiment as a guide – use your paper snips to snip a Soft Suede cs sentiment layer and then glue the sentiment to the Soft Suede cs layer.

Glue the haunted house layers to the center of card front slightly overlapping the ribbon/banner. Use Snail to adhere looped Silver Metallic Thread to the back of the witch/scalloped circle layer and then use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card front overlapping the haunted house image and centered over the ribbon/ banner. Use glue to adhere the sentiment layers to the card front overlapping the haunted house & ribbon/ banner and tucked slightly under the right side of the witch circles. Tie a small bow with Black Glittered Organdy ribbon and use glue dots to attach it under the sentiment layers. Add Monster Enamel Shapes to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla cs inside panel to write your message. Use the piece of Stampin’ Sponge to add Soft Suede ink to the edges and lightly across the panel. I also stamped the sentiment and the branch image from The Raven stamp set to the inside panel to pull the theme through. * I used the Silvery Shimmer Delicata Metallic ink to add the sentiment and images to the back of the card.

I hope you enjoyed my #GDP208 Halloween card. You can purchase everything I used to make this fun card in my Online Store now including The Raven stamp set and the Monster Bash DSP.
