I love all the Halloween themed products in the 2019 Holiday catalog. And I must admit I immediately wanted to make a Halloween snow globe as soon as I discovered the Still Scenes bundle in the Holiday catalog. I’m looking forward to making lots of shaker snow globes – as it’s easy to adapt this gorgeous and versatile bundle for any occasion. Start with a Basic Black cs card base. Cut a Very Vanilla cs panel. Using the scroll Basic Pattern Decorative Mask sponge a black pattern with Memento Black ink on the Very Vanilla cs panel. Stamp the leaves from the Very Versailles stamp set in 2nd generation (stamped off) Memento Black ink on the sponged Very Vanilla cs panel. Use the sponge to add Memento Black ink to the edges of the panel. Glue the stamped & sponged Very Vanilla cs panel to the card base.
Cut a Basic Black cs panel. Use the Snow Globe Scenes dies to cut the globe top out of the Basic Black cs panel – centering it at the top. Save the die cut Basic Black cs piece for later. Round the corners of the Basic Black cs panel with the Detailed Trio Punch. Then dry emboss the Basic Black cs panel with the Stylish Scroll embossing folder.
Stamp the vampire image from the Spooktacular Bash stamp set on Very Vanilla cs. Color the image with the Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to his eyes for sparkle. Die cut out the image with the Ornate Frames dies. Die cut out a Copper Foil image frame with the Ornate Frame Dies.
Die cut out a globe base piece from Copper Foil and a globe base overlay from Basic Black cs with the Snow Globe Scenes Dies. Dry emboss the Copper Foil globe base and the Copper Foil image frame with the Subtle 3D embossing folder (and remember with the New Style embossing folders you need to use the 3D Embossing Folder Plate to get the best impression).
Lightly sponge Soft Suede ink onto the embossed Copper Foil image frame and the Copper Foil globe base around their edges sweeping in toward the middle. Glue the embossed Copper foil image frame to the Basic Black cs die cut from earlier centered in the middle. Glue the die cut & colored vampire image to the Copper Foil image frame. Make sure the glue completely dries.
Place the embossed Basic Black cs panel on the card front where you want it and use it as a template to glue the die cut image Basic Black cs piece. Remove the embossed Basic Black cs panel and set it aside for later.
Punch out Basic Black cs bats with the bat Every Season Punch Pack. Place the bats and a small amount in the center of the vampire image. After removing the bottom adhesive – place a Snow Globe Shaker Dome so it fits over the image Basic Black cs piece on the card front. Then remove the outer adhesive and with glue fit the embossed Basic Black cs panel over the Snow Globe Dome and adhere it the card front.
Glue the Basic Black overlay to the embossed Copper Foil base. Then use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the Copper/Basic Black cs globe base snugly against the Snow Globe Dome.
Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla cs inside panel to write your message. I sponged Memento Black ink on the edges of the inside panel and stamped the sentiment from the Spooktacular Bash stamp set & the leaves from the Very Versailles stamp set to the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.
