For this themed – ‘Sweeter Than Candy’ Global Design Challenge I created a card with the Sale-A-Bration Hello Cupcake and the Sale-A-Bration Coordination Call Me Cupcake framelit dies with the super fun How Sweet It Is DSP.
Use the Silver Foil- Edged Cards for your card base. Cut a Mango Melody cs panel and glue it to the card base. Cut a panel from the How Sweet It Is DSP to layer and glue to the Mango Melody cs panel.
Stamp your frosting image in Melon Mambo ink on Whisper White cs. Stamp your small cupcake image and the heart pick image in Mango Melody ink on Whisper White cs. Add Wink of Stella to the stamped images to pull the color through the white spaces and for sparkle.
Use the Embossing Buddy lightly on a piece of Whisper White cs. Then stamp the wrapper/cupcake bottom image in Versamark. Dip the stamped image in Silver embossing powder and tap off the excess. Heat the powder until melted with the Heat Tool. TIP – run the Heat Tool for a few moments to heat up before embossing the powder.
Cut out a Vellum scalloped circle (2 1/4″) with the Layering Ovals. Cut out the ‘Happy’, ‘Birthday’, and a heart from the Silver Foil Sheets with the Well Written framelit dies. Cut out the heart shaped pick from the Silver Foil Sheets with the Call Me Cupcake framelit dies. Also cut out the three stamped cupcake pieces with the Call Me Cupcake framelit dies. Use the heart framelit from the Well Written framelit dies to cut a heart from the stamped heart pick image.
Use a strip of Snail down the middle of the Vellum scalloped oval and attach it to the middle of the card front. Then assemble the cupcake pieces and glue them to the Vellum scalloped circle. Glue the cut stamped heart to the silver foil pick and then glue the pick to the top of the cupcake. Glue the Silver Foil words above and below the Vellum scalloped oval – making sure they overlap the oval slightly. Be sure to add the Silver Foil heart to dot the ‘i’ to finish the card. I added strips of the DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
