For this week’s Global Design Project color challenge I used the fabulous Misty Moonlight Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, the Under My Umbrella stamp set, and the Four Season Floral stamp set featured in the Beginner Brochure to make my card.
Start with a Misty Moonlight Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Card Base. Cut a Pool Party cs panel and dry emboss it with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. Cut a Misty Moonlight cs panel and dry emboss it with the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder. Glue the embossed Misty Moonlight cs panel to the embossed Pool Party cs panel. Wrap a piece of Petal Pink Striped Organdy ribbon around the panels using glue dots to secure the ends on the back of the panels and then glue them to the card base.
Stamp the sentiment from the Four Season Floral stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Whisper White cs and then punch out the sentiment with the Label Me Fancy punch. Punch a Pool Party cs label with the Label Me Lovely punch and then dry emboss it with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. Glue the embossed Pool Party cs label to the card front centered over the wrapped ribbon. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label to the embossed Pool Party cs label. Add Elegant Faceted Gems to the embossed Pool Party cs label for sparkle.
Stamp the umbrella & handle from the Under My Umbrella stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Whisper White cs and then punch out with the Umbrella Builder Punch. Attach the umbrella to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the rose image twice from the Four Season Floral stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Whisper White cs. Color the flowers and leaves with the Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers for sparkle.
Fussy cut one of the flowers apart so that one is glued to fill the umbrella and the other bloom use glue dots to attach it to the left side of the umbrella and card front. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the other colored flower inside the umbrella with one petal overlapping the front of the umbrella. Use glue to add the umbrella handle in the flowers. Tie a small bow with the Petal Pink Stripped Organdy ribbon and use glue dots to attach it to the handle.
I stamped the sentiment from the Four Season Floral stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on the inside and back of the card. I also stamped the flower image and colored it with the Stampin’ Write Markers (don’t color with the Stampin’ Blends as they will bleed through). Don’t forget to add Wink of Stella for sparkle.
I also added an embossed Pool Party cs strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
