Festive & Fun A Walk In The Forest DSP Card

For this week’s Global Design Project I used the adorable Festive & Fun stamp set and the A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper with the Balmy Blue Sparkle ribbon to create my card. The super cute critters in this September – December 2023 Mini Catalog stamp set are perfect for this week’s Tis The Season theme.

Start with a Balmy Blue cardstock card base. Cut a Basic White cardstock panel and A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the panels to the card base. Die cut a Basic White cardstock deckled circle with the Deckled Circle dies. Die cut a Balmy Blue cardstock stitched circle with the Stylish Shapes dies. Dry emboss the Balmy Blue cardstock stitched circle with the hashmark embossing folder from the Basics 3D embossing folders. Use Stampin’ Seal to add the Balmy Blue Sparkle ribbon in a zig zag on the back of the embossed Balmy Blue cardstock stitched circle. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the ribbon backed embossed stitched circle to the Basic White cardstock decked circle. Then use more Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the circles to the center of the card front.

Stamp the rhino & sleigh image from the Festive & Fun stamp set in Pebbled Path ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the rhino & sleigh with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the rhino & gifts for sparkle. Use paper snips to fussy cut out the image. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the colored rhino & sleigh to the circles on the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Festive & Fun stamp set in Pebbled Path ink on Basic White cardstock. Use paper snips to fussy cut out the sentiment close and then flag both ends of the sentiment. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment below the rhino & sleigh image across the circles on the card front. Add Adhesive Backed Sparkle Sequins to the card front & under the sentiment for extra sparkle.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Festive & Fun stamp set in Pebbled Path ink and add a strip of Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. I also stamped the sleigh from the Festive & Fun stamp set in Pebbled Path ink on Basic White cardstock, colored the image with Stampin’ Blends, fussy cut it out with paper snips, and then glued it to the bottom right overlapping the Designer Series Paper strip.
