Charming Day Global Design Project Color Challenge Card

Card Measurements and Supply List with the printable PDF with the clickable (Print Recipe) link for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

I love the colors in this week’s Global Design Project color challenge! I’ve used the upcoming Online Exclusive Charming Day bundle to create my card. I used the smaller flower image in the Charming Day stamp set to create my own patterned paper panel. I also added texture and dimension with die cuts and a embossed stitched rectangle.

Start with the a Petal Pink cardstock card base. Cut a Timid Tiger cardstock panel and a Basic White cardstock panel. Stamp the flower from the Charming Day stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Basic White cardstock panel multiple times. Color the flowers with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the flower centers for sparkle. Glue the panels together. Wrap the panels with Petal Pink Scalloped ribbon and use Tear & Tape to secure the ends on the back of the panels. Glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Die cut a Petal Pink cardstock oval die cut with the Impressions Abloom dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the oval to the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Die cut a Timid Tiger cardstock stitched rectangle with the Nested Essentials dies. Dry emboss the stitched rectangle with the Glass (of the Glass & Garden) embossing folder. Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched banner with the Nested Essentials dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Charming Day stamp set in Memento Black ink on the top corner on the non-flagged end of the stitched banner. Glue the stamped stitched banner across the top of the embossed stitched rectangle with the flag end off the edge. Glue the embossed stitched rectangle at a slight angle on the oval.

Stamp the large flower from the Charming Day stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the image with Stampin’ Blends, add Wink of Stella to the flowers, and then die cut the colored image with the Charming Day dies. Die cut a medium Petal Pink cardstock stitched banner and a small Lost Lagoon cardstock stitched banner with the Nested Essentials dies. Use glue dots to add die cut stitched banners to the back of the die cut flower image. Use Stampin’ Dimensions to add the built flower to the card front on the Basic White cardstock stitched banner framing the stamped sentiment. Tie a bow with the Petal Pink Scalloped ribbon and use glue dots to add the bow to the right side of the die cut flower image on the stitched banner so it looks like bow is over the wrapped ribbon. Add Holographic Resin Dots to the card front.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of Basic White cardstock stamped & colored like the front panel to the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Charming Day Global Design Project Color Challenge card. You can order the Glass & Garden embossing folders, the Impressions Abloom dies, and the Nested Essentials dies in my Online Store and the upcoming Online Exclusive Charming Day bundle starting July 1st.
