Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

This week’s Global Design Challenge is to CASE this gorgeous card by Emma Goddard. I decided to keep with her sunflower theme but use Autumn colors.

Start with a Cinnamon Cider cs card base. Cut a Cajun Craze cs panel and a Thick Very Vanilla cs panel. Use the Water Painters (the wide brush) to add a light watercolor wash of Crumb Cake ink, Crushed Curry ink, Cajun Craze ink, and Cinnamon Cider ink in a rectangle shape on the Thick Very Vanilla cs panel. Let the panel completely dry.

Stamp the sentiment from the All Things Fabulous stamp set in Early Espresso ink on the dried watercolor wash Thick Very Vanilla cs on the lower right side. Glue the stamped Thick Very Vanilla cs panel to the Cajun Craze cs panel and then glue them to the card front.

Stamp the sunflower and large leaves from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Thick Very Vanilla cs. Color the sunflower and leaves with the Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella to the sunflower for sparkle. Die cut out the sunflower and leaves with the Sunflowers Dies.

Die cut out a sunflower outline and leaf outlines with the Sunflowers Dies from Brushed Metallic (bronze) cs. Die cut Vellum cs sprigs with the Sunflower Dies. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals – I cut up the thinner dimensional side piece and placed them in the middle – to attach the Brushed Metallic bronze cs sunflower outline to the stamped & colored sunflower. Glue the Brushed Metallic bronze cs leaf outlines to the leaves and- using the sunflower as a guide – glue them to the card front framing the sentiment. Use glue dots and glue to add the sprigs to the card front. Add the outlined sunflower to the card front to the top left side overlapping the leaves and sprigs. Add 2020-2021 In Color Enamel Dots to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Thick Very Vanilla cs inside panel to write your message. I added a light watercolor wash of Crumb Cake ink, Crushed Curry ink, Cajun Craze ink, and Cinnamon Cider ink color wash to the bottom of the inside panel and back of the card.

I also stamped the sentiment from the Fancy Phrases stamp set and leaf from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set in Early Espresso ink to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my #GDP252 Autumn Sunflower card. You can order the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle, Water Painters, and Brushed Metallic Cardstock in my Online Store.
