Inspirations In Ink: Hey Chuck Bundle Blog Hop Card

Welcome and Thank you for visiting Christy’s Stamping Spot! I’m Christy, an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Southern Arizona, USA. I’m excited to be taking part in the Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop with this fabulous group of Demonstrators!

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

For this month’s blog hop and December’s PDF Tutorial we are focusing on the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog Hey Chuck bundle. I wanted to create a Christmas card using this fun bundle with the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper, Jolly Words stamp set, and the Beary Cute stamp set.

Start with a Crumb Cake cardstock card base. Cut a Shaded Spruce cardstock panel and a Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the panels together. Wrap the panels with White Iridescent ribbon and use Tear & Tape to secure the ribbon’s ends to the back of the panels. Glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Die cut a Basic White cardstock rectangle with the Radiating Stitches dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Jolly Words stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on the rectangle. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stamped rectangle. Stamp the sentiment again (or at least the ornament) in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the ornament with Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut it out with paper snips. Use a Stampin’ Dimensional to add the ornament over the stamped ornament on the rectangle on the card front.

Stamp two chicken images from the Hey Chuck stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Basic White cardstock. Die cut the images with the Hey Chuck dies. Color the images with Stampin’ Blends. Stamp the hat image from the Beary Cute stamp set twice in Shaded Spruce ink. Color the hats with the Light Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blend and then fussy cut them out with paper snips. Use glue dots to add them to the chickens. Stamp five presents from the Beary Cute stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the presents with Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut them out with paper snips. Add Wink of Stella to the chickens, presents, and the ornament for sparkle.

Add the presents and chicken to the card front overlapping the bottom right of the rectangle with glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie a bow with the White Iridescent ribbon and use glue dots to add it to the left side of the rectangle overlapping the ribbon. Add Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the card front and rectangle for extra sparkle.

Cut and add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Very Best Occasions stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on the inside panel. Add a strip of Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. I added the other chicken and remaining presents with glue to the bottom right corner of the inside panel.
