Week 11 of 12 Weeks of Halloween – Spooky Floral Coffin Treat Box

These Coffin Treat Boxes in the 2019 Holiday Catalog are so fun! I finally finished my Coffin Wreath and for Week 11 I wanted to share a smaller shareable coffin treat box that has the same elements of my wreath to give or use as a Halloween party favor. You can watch the Facebook Live replay of this project being made on my Facebook page here or on my YouTube channel here.

I used 24 embossed coffin treat boxes and a 14″ silver foil covered cardboard cake board to make my wreath with the spook fun house mirror feel.

Die cut with the Magnolia Memory dies.

Start by die cutting the Basic Black cs and Silver Foil flower pieces with the Magnolia Memory dies.

Use the Bone Folder to gently curl the Basic Black cs flower petals.

Use hot glue to build your flower on your Silicone Craft Mat- alternate the petals – starting with the larger 3 petal piece and then with the hot glue add the smaller 3 petal pieces – rotating the petals. Use hot glue for best results but you can substitute Glue Dots to make the flower.

Then use the hot glue to add the 2 flower centers – rotating them.

Use a Stamping Sponge wedge to add Sliver Shimmer Delicata Metallic ink to the flower. Use your fingers to gently shape the leaves.

Die cut out a leaf for your flower from Silver Foil with the Gathered Leaves dies.

Die cut an embossed leaf for your flower with the Gathered Leaves dies. Then add the Silver Foil leaf and the flower center to your flower with the hot glue.

To make the fun ribbon bow for under your flower – start with a small drop of hot glue on your Silicone Craft Matt to start your Black Glittered Organdy bow by looping (1 1/2″- 2″ loops) it back to the center – adding a small drop of hot glue as you go. I made 3 loops on both sides and you can use another Silicone Craft Matt or your Bone Folder to press down in the center.

When you snip the ribbon off your spool – leave a about an 1″ to wrap around the ribbon bow’s center and use hot glue to adhere it down.

Use hot glue to add your flower to your Black Glittered Organdy Bow.

Dry emboss your coffin lid with the Country Floral 3D embossing folder (if using the new style remember to use the blue 3D Embossing Folder Plate for the best impression).

Then use Tear & Tape to build your coffin.

Then use a Stamping Sponge to add the Silvery Shimmer Delicata Metallic ink to the coffin lid and bottom.

Use hot glue to attach your Flower bow to your coffin treat box. Then you can add candy to your coffin to give or use as a Halloween party favor.

I hope you enjoyed Week 11 of my 12 Weeks of Halloween and make some black flowers for your coffin treat boxes.
