Umbrella Filled with Sunflowers Card

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

This card pulls in so many awesome products from the new 2020-2021 Annual catalog. I adore this combination of the sunflowers from the Jar of Flowers stamp set paired with the umbrella from the Under My Umbrella stamp set on the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More card. I also used my new favorite Old World Paper 3D embossing folder with the new 2020-2022 In Color Misty Moonlight cardstock to show off the lovely umbrella bouquet.

Start with a Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Cards & Envelopes Bumblebee card base. Cut a Misty Moonlight cs panel and then dry emboss it with the Old Map Paper 3D embossing folder. Cut a piece of Bumblebee Gingham Trim and wrap it around the embossed panel using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends.

Die cut a Whisper White cs label with the Stitched Nested Labels dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Under My Umbrella stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on the top of the stitched label. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the stamped stitched label to the card front centered over the ribbon.

Stamp the sunflowers image on Whisper White cs in Early Espresso ink. Color the image with Stampin’ Blends. Then fussy cut out the flowers – in three pieces – one with the flower/sunflower, sunflower/leaves, and single large sunflower (I cut off and didn’t use the top flower). Add Wink of Stella to the flower centers for extra sparkle.

Punch out an umbrella with the Umbrella Builder Punch from Misty Moonlight 2020–2022 In Color 6″ X 6″ DSP. Use the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend to color the umbrella top. Punch out an umbrella handle from Basic Black cs with the Umbrella Builder Punch. Add Stampin’ Seal to the back edge of the umbrella and then fit the two sunflower pieces to the umbrella. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the umbrella filled with sunflowers to the stitched label. Glue the Basic Black cs handle to the stitched label above and tucked beneath the umbrella. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals (double stacked) to attach the single fussy cut sunflower to the right side and overlapping the umbrella, stitched label, and embossed panel.

Tie a small bow with the Bumblebee Gingham Trim and add it to the stitched label on the umbrella handle even with the wrapped ribbon with glue dots. Add Bumblebee 2020-2021 Enamel Dots to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on the inside and back of the card.

I also stamped sunflowers from the Jar of Flowers stamp set in the Early Espresso ink and colored the flowers with Stampin’ Write Markers on the inside and back of the card & the envelope to pull the theme through.
