For this week’s Stash Sunday project I made a fun and very sparkly unicorn card with the retired Magical Day bundle stamp set with the sold out Sale-A- Bration and the Lovely Lipstick foil sheets.
I started with a Lovely Lipstick cs card base. I cut a panel of the iridescent Glimmer cs from the Myths & Magic 6 x 6 Glimmer cs paper pack (currently on the Clearance Rack) and glue it to the card base. Cut a stitched rectangle with the Stitched Rectangle dies from the Lovely Lipstick foil sheets and adhere it to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the unicorn image on Whisper White cs with Memento Black ink. Color the unicorn mane with the Stampin’ Blends and the unicorn’s body with Wink of Stella for extra sparkle. Cut the unicorn out with the Magical Mates dies and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the unicorn to the top center of the foil.
Cut a Whisper White cs sentiment layer. Stamp the sentiment from the Magical Day stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Add color to the letters by using the Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend. I cut a scrap piece of the iridescent Glimmer cs (about a 1/2″ x 1 1/2″) and flagged the end.
Adhere the flagged Glimmer paper, a loop of Berry Burst Metallic – Edge ribbon, and a loop of Pink Powder Shimmer ribbon with glue dots to the back of the stamped Whisper White cs sentiment layer. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment layer to the bottom of the Lovely Lipstick foil panel.
To finish the card I made a bow with the Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon and attached it using glue dots beneath the unicorn. Use your dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend to color a couple of Frosted Flowers. To finish the card add the flowers and Basic Adhisive- Backed Sequins to the card front. And don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel. I stamped and colored half of the unicorn on the inside and the sparkle image on the back to pull theme through.
