Stampin’ Up! Hey Girlfriend Hand-Penned Birthday Card

Today I have a card made with the fun & fabulous Hey Girlfriend stamp set from the January-June Mini Catalog stamp set paired with the gorgeous Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper & Hand-Penned Memories & More Cards & Envelopes.

Start with a Hand-Penned Memories & More Card base. Cut a Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper panel. Die cut a Basic White cs ornate frame with the Ornate Layers dies. Stamp the image from the Hey Girlfriends stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Basic White cs ornate frame. Color the girl with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Stamp the girl again on Hand-Penned DSP scrap, fussy cut out the dress, and color the belt & buckle with Stampin’ Blends. Glue the fussy cut DSP dress on the stamped & colored girl image. Glue the Basic White cs stamped ornate frame to the Hand-Penned DSP panel and then glue both to the card base.

Stamp the kitty image from the Hey Girlfriend stamp set on Basic White cs with Memento Black ink. Color the kitty image with Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut it out with paper snips. Add the fussy cut kitty to the card front overlapping the stamped girl image with a Stampin’ Dimensional (I snipped it in half).

Stamp the sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on Basic White cs. Punch out the sentiment with the larger scalloped oval from the Double Oval Punch. Use Stampin’ Seal to attach a piece of Just Jade & Gold Braided ribbon on the back. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals & glue dots to attach the sentiment to the top right corner of the Hand-Penned DSP/ornate frame. Add a Champagne rhinestone to the flower on the girl image for extra sparkle.

Stamp the sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on the inside of the card. Cut a Hand-Penned DSP panel and then use the Double Oval Punch to punch out the half of the scalloped oval into the top of the DSP panel to create a gift card holder panel. Use Tear & Tape to on the edges of the DSP gift card holder panel (except for the side with the scalloped oval punched out) to attach it on the inside left side of the card.

I also added a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Basic White cs Ornate frame panel – (3 1/8″) die cut with the Ornate Frames dies.
Basic White cs kitty – fussy cut with paper snips.
Hand-Penned DSP dress – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs sentiment scalloped oval -punched with Double Oval Punch.
Hand-Penned DSP gift holder panel – 3 1/2″ x 4″.
Just Jade & Gold Braided ribbon
