Stampin' Up! Party Puffins Birthday Note Cards

I adore the super cute Party Puffins stamp set in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I created these fun note card using a piece of Real Red Regale Designer Series Paper and stamping the images on labels die cut with the fabulous Hippo & Friends dies.

To make these note cards start with a Basic White cs note card base. Cut a Real Red Regal Designer Series Paper panel. Die cut a Real Red cs stitched scalloped strip with the Penned Flowers dies. Add the stitched scalloped strip to the DSP panel with Stampin’ Seal. Use glue to add the DSP panel to the card base.

Die cut a Basic White cs label with the Hippo & Friends dies. Stamp the puffin image with Memento Black ink on the label. Color the puffin with Stampin’ Blends. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stamped & colored label to the card front.

Wrap the DSP panel with the Real Red Double-Stitched Satin ribbon using Stampin’ Seal and then add a bow with glue dots.

I used the Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker to ink the stamp to add the sentiment (first the ‘happy & then the ‘birthday’).

I added the Real Red Double-Stitched Satin ribbon or the Artistry Blooms Sequins or Black Matte to each of the card fronts. Also add Wink of Stella to the images for extra sparkle.

To add party hats to the other puffins – just stamp the puffin with the hat image, fussy cut out the hat, color, and add with a glue dot or Mini Stampin’ Dimensional. Tie a knot in a piece of Real Red Double-Stitched Satin ribbon and attach it as a bow tie for the puffin.

To give your puffin 3D wings to hold the balloon – stamp the image on scrap and fussy cut out the wings. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the fussy cut wings over the puffin’s wings leaving a space to add the Playful Pet Black/White Baker’s Twine for the balloon. Stamp the balloon from the Hey, Girlfriend stamp set in Memento Black ink, color it with the Real Red Stampin’ Blend or Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the balloon and use glue dots to attach the string.

Stamp the sentiment from the Party Puffins stamp set on the inside of the card.

Add a strip of the DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
