I love these butterflies and purchased two sets of both the Brilliant Wings Dies and the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set. I left one set (top) connected and the other (bottom) I cut the stamp set apart and my hubby separated the large die into individual dies for me.

I added the Melon Mambo, Garden Green, and Sahara Sand ink directly from the ink pads to the E block. I used a sticky note to mask the bottom of the block when applying the Garden Green ink and then removed the sticky note to add the Sahara Sand ink.

Using my Water Painter I added water to the ink and used the brush tip to blend the transitions. Then gently add the Shimmery White cardstock layer on the block and gently smooth your fingers over the back to make sure the cardstock absorbs the ink. Gently pull the cardstock off the block and allow to dry. I rinsed my block off in the sink and dried it. I set the clean & dry block on my colored Shimmery White cardstock to help it lie flat until completely dry.

Use a Basic White Note Card for your card base. Cut a Distressed Gold Specialty Paper panel. Die cut out butterflies with the Brilliant Wings dies from the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper panel making sure you leave 1/2″ on the bottom and 1/8″ on the top and sides as the wholes will be covered by your watercolored Shimmery White cardstock panel (of course you can always die cut the butterflies from a scrap piece instead). Glue the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper panel to the card front. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the completely dry watercolored Shimmery White cardstock panel to the card front leaving the 1/2″ at the bottom.

Use glue dots to add the die cut Distressed Gold Specialty Paper butterflies to the card front on the watercolor panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set in Melon Mambo ink on a Shimmery White cardstock. Use Paper Snips to closely cut out the sentiment and then use glue dots to add it to the bottom right of the card front below the watercolor panel.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel for added stability and to write your message. Stamp the butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set (I used my cut a part stamp set) in Melon Mambo ink (stamp before gluing the inside panel down), added a strip of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper, and stamped the sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I added the Stampin’ Up! copyright stamp from the new Limited Edition stamp set to adhere to the Angel Policy.
