Stampin’ Up! After The Storm Simply Stamping Card

The fabulous new After the Storm stamp set from the from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog was inspired by Million Sales Achiever Frenchie Martin and features Distinktive images. June’s #SimpleStamping challenge is to create a card with a Just Because theme with only paper, ink, & a punch and I thought this stamp set would be perfectly paired with the Cat punch.

Start with a Pool Party cs card base. Cut a Basic Black cs panel and a Basic White cs panel. Glue the Basic Black cs panel to the card base.

On the Basic White cs panel stamp the small cloud from the After the Storm stamp set in 2nd generation (stamped off) Pool Party ink in the top right corner. Stamp the sentiment in Pool Party ink under the cloud slightly to the left. Stamp the small cloud again under the sentiment and slightly off the panel. Stamp the sun rays in Daffodil Delight ink (about 1 1/2″ down) on the left side of the panel angled down & across. Stamp the sun rays a second time under the first stamped rays image angled with it. Stamp the big clouds with full & 2nd generation Pool Party ink to fill in the white space above the sun rays. Glue the stamped Basic White cs panel to the card front.

Punch a Basic Black cs cat with the Cat punch. Glue the Basic Black cs cat to the bottom right corner of the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. I also stamped a sentiment from the After the Storm stamp set in Pool Party ink and the sun rays in 2nd generation (stamped off) Daffodil Delight ink. I added a Basic Black cs strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I love all the sentiments in the After the Storm stamp set so I added a different sentiment and a small cloud on the back of the card.

Start with a Pool Party card base – 11″ x 4 1/4 scored at 5 1/2″.
Basic Black cs panel – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ plus two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Basic White cs panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″
Basic Black cs cat – punched with the Cat Punch.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
