Reach For The Stars Card

For this week’s Global Design Project CASE the Designer challenge I created a card using Krista Frattin’s fun layout with the Reach For The Stars bundle, Stargazing Designer Series Paper, Holographic Trio Specialty paper and the Stylish Shapes.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

Start with a Thick Basic White cardstock card base. Cut a Thick Basic White cardstock panel, dry emboss it with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder, and then glue the embossed panel to the card base.

Die cut a Stargazing Designer Series Paper stitched circle with the largest stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes dies. Glue the stitched circle to the embossed card front. Die cut Stargazing Designer Series Paper planets with the Reach For The Stars dies. Die cut two different Holographic Trio Specialty paper planet rings & stars with the Reach For The Stars dies. Use Stampin’ Seal to add the rings to the planet and then use more Stampin’ Seal & a Stampin’ Dimensional to add them to the top left of the stitched circle on the card front.

Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched banner with the Stylish Shapes dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Reach For The Stars stamp set in Starry Sky ink on the stitched banner. Use Stampin’ Seal to add silver Simply Elegant Trim to the back of the stitched banner. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stitched banner to the card front overlapping lower right corner of the stitched circle. Use glue dots to tuck a die cut Stargazing Designer Series Paper planet under the top right of the stitched banner. Use glue dots to add the die cut Holographic Trio Specialty paper stars to the card front. Add Wink of Stella splatter to the card front for sparkle.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of Stargazing Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card. Add a die cut Stargazing Designer Series Paper planet to the bottom left side of the Stargazing Designer Series Paper strip. Stamp the sentiment and the stars from the Reach For The Stars stamp set in Starry Sky ink on the inside panel. Add Wink of Stella splatter to the inside and back of the card for extra sparkle.

Stargazing DSP planets – die cut with the Reach For The Stars dies.
Holographic Trio Specialty Paper planet rings and stars – die cut with the Reach For The Stars dies.
Basic White cs stitched banner – die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
