Perennial Essence DSP and the Bird Ballad Laser- Cut Cards & Tin

I love how easy it is to create with the new Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards. When you add a piece of Designer Series Paper – you can see both sides – so I added the gorgeous new Perennial Essence DSP for my Monday Facebook Live. You can watch the replay here.

For both cards – start with a Bird Ballad Laser-Cut card base. Cut a piece of Perennial Essence DSP panel and use glue – I found using small dots of glue close to the inside edge worked the best to glue the panel to the back of the Laser-Cut card front.

For the first card – Cut a stitched oval from the Perennial Essence DSP with the Stitched Shapes dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Stitched All Around stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on Very Vanilla cs. Die cut out the sentiment with the Stitched Label dies. Die cut out 2 Vellum cs leaves with the Flourish dies.

Glue the stitched DSP oval to the card front on the bottom right of the card front. Add two die cut vellum leaves to the left side of the stitched DSP oval with glue dots. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment layer over the stitched DSP oval and vellum leaves. Add 3 Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the card front.

For the second card – Stamp the sentiment from the Stitched All Around stamp set on Very Vanilla cs in Shaded Spruce ink. Die cut out the sentiment with the Stitched Labels dies. Die cut out 3 Vellum cs leaves with the Flourish dies. Die cut out 3 stitched hearts with the Stitched Labels dies from the Perennial Essence DSP.

Use glue dots to attach Vellum leaves to the either the back of the sentiment label or to the card front – so that there are two at the top left edge of the sentiment label and one at the bottom right edge of the sentiment label. Glue the sentiment label to the middle of the card front. Use a glue dot and mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere 2 hearts to the bottom right side of the sentiment label. Add 3 Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the card front.

I just love that you can see the gorgeous other side of the Perennial Essence DSP on the inside of the card.

Don’t forget to save those leftover DSP pieces. I added strips to the inside and back of my cards to pull the theme through.

On the second card I added a die cut heart from the Stitched Label dies from the Perennial Essence DSP (the 3rd I die cut earlier) and attached it over the strip of DSP with a glue dot.
