Glimmer Gals June Sketch Challenge – Daisy Card

For June’s Glimmer Gals Sketch Challenge I used the lovely Daisy Lane bundle, Daisy punch, Leaf punch, the gorgeous Perennial Essence DSP, and the Perennial Essence Vellum cs. I love using the colored vellum to make the daisy.

The Glimmer Gal Team June sketch challenge is from
Theresa of Theresa’s Treasures.

Start with a Petal Pink cs card base. Cut a Very Vanilla cs panel, dry emboss it with the Subtle 3D embossing folder, and then glue it to the card base.

Cut the Petal Pink and the Perennial Essence DSP layer panels. Glue the DSP layer to the Petal Pink cs layer and then glue them to the left side of the card front. Cut the smaller Petal Pink cs panel, flag both ends with Paper Snips, and then glue it centered on the card front just above the middle.

Punch out daisies with the Daisy punch (2 each) & the Medium Daisy punch (1 each) from the Perennial Essence Petal Pink Vellum and Vellum cs. I used the back tip of my retired paper-piercing tool but you can use any thing with a small rounded tip – to gently rub the middle of the punched daisies’ petals on the Stampin’ Pierce Mat. This will give the daisies height. Then gently use the bone folder to lightly curl the daisies’ petals.

Build the daisy by using glue dots – start with the larger vellum daisy, then layer a large Petal Pink vellum daisy – glue dotting the rest of the daisies ending with the 2 smaller daisies – slightly turning them so that the petals are off center of each other. Add a Gold Faceted Gem to the center.

Punch 3 leaves with the Leaf punch from the Perennial Essence Old Olive Vellum. Use a glue dots to attach the leaves to the bottom of the built daisy and then use glue dots to attach the flower piece to the card front centered on the flagged Petal Pink cs panel. Color rhinestones with the Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blend and then add them to the card front around the daisy.

Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla inside panel to write your message. I also glued strips of the Perennial Essence DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I’m loving the new Daisy Lane bundle. You can purchase everything to make this cheery Daisy card in my Online Store now. And if you purchase the Daisy Lane bundle between today, June 20, and June 30th with the June Host Code XVCZM629 – I’ll send you a pack of Faceted Gems as a free gift from me.
