Painted Poppies Bundle Birthday Card

With the release of the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalog I wanted to use the new Painted Poppies Bundle with the Layered with Kindness stamp set and coordinating Label Me Fancy punch with this fun color combo.

Start with a Pretty Peacock cs card base. Cut a Whisper White cs panel. Stamp the flower from the Painted Poppies multiple times on the Whisper White cs panel in Merry Merlot ink. Stamp the flower with the flower fill in texture stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set with 2nd generation Merry Merlot ink (stamped off).

Create a mask by stamping the flower from the Painted Poppies stamp set on a Post It Note – so a large portion of the stamped image is over the sticky part. Then use your paper snips to closely fussy cutting out the image- so it will snugly fit over the stamped image.

Use the flower mask to protect the stamped flowers while you stamp the leaf from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on the Whisper White cs panel. Color the leaves with the light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend. Stamp the small textured stamp in 2nd generation Pretty Peacock ink in spaces between the flowers and leaves to pull in the Pretty Peacock color. Add Wink of Stella to the flower centers for extra sparkle.

Die cut out a swirl from Pretty Peacock cs with the Painted Label dies and glue it to the card front in the lower right corner.

Stamp the sentiment from the Layered With Kindness stamp set in Merry Merlot ink on a Whisper White cs scrap. Punch out the sentiment with the Label Me Fancy Punch and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach it to the center of the die cut Pretty Peacock cs swirl on the card front. Add Wink of Stella to the little petals on the sentiment and Nobel Peacock Rhinestones to the sentiment & card front for extra sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I also stamped the sentiment, flowers & leaf to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
