Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop July 2019

Hi! Welcome to Christy’s Stamping Spot. I’m Christy and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from Arizona, USA. Today, I’m excited to be taking part in Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.

Today I’m making a lovely 3″ x 3″ mini card with the floral images from the Free As A Bird stamp set – the perfect size to add to a package or gift and Stampin’ Up! even carries Whisper White 3″ x 3″ envelopes that fit the mini cards. I made this mini card during my Facebook Live. You can watch the replay here.

Start with a Rococo Rose cs card base. Cut the Whisper White cs layers for both the front and inside panels.

Stamp the circle from the the Swirly Frames stamp set in the center of the Whisper White cs front panel in Pretty Peacock ink. Stamp the sentiment from the Free As A Bird stamp set on the lower right corner in Pretty Peacock ink. Stamp the smaller flower image from the Free As A Bird stamp set around the stamped circle in Rococo Rose ink. Glue the stamped Whisper White cs front panel on the card base. Be sure to orientate the front panel so that the card opens the way you want- up or to the side.

Stamp the larger flower image (3 times) from the Free As A Bird stamp set in Rococo Rose ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cs. Color the flowers with a Light Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blend and then add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Use Paper Snips to fussy cut out the flowers.

Stamp the leaf out line image (2 times) from the To A Wild Rose stamp set on a scrap piece of Whisper White cs in Pretty Peacock ink. Stamp the less bold inside leaf image from the To A Wild Rose stamp set in 2nd generation Pretty Peacock ink (stamped off) to color in the stamped leaf outline. Die cut out the double stamped leaves with the Wild Rose dies.

Glue the leaves to the card front using the stamped circle and flowers as a guide. Add the fussy cut flowers to the the card front overlapping the leaves in the center with glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Use a Dark Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend to color Basic Rhinestone jewels and then add them to the card front around the flowers.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel. I stamped the sentiment and flower from the Free As A Bird stamp set on the inside panel and on the back of the card to pull the theme through. You can also stamp the sentiment and flower on the envelope.

Sometimes you just need a small card to go with a gift and the 3″ x 3″ cards with the Whisper White 3″ x 3″ envelopes are just the right size. You can purchase everything to make this card in my Online Store now.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my card. Please visit all the blogs participating in this hop to see all the fun and inspiring projects by demonstrators from around the world.  You are currently visiting Christy Gridley – USA at Christy’s Stamping Spot.

I love how you incorporated Swirly Frames into your cards. Great cards 🙂

    • Thanks Melinda… they really work great to anchor the images…I believe I saw Emma Goddard – Coastal Crafter from the UK use the Swirly Frames that way on one of her Facebook lives awhile back and have been using them that way ever since 😊
