Inspirations In Ink: Translucent Flowers Bundle Blog Hop Card

Welcome and Thank you for visiting Christy’s Stamping Spot! I’m Christy, an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Southern Arizona, USA. I’m excited to be taking part in the Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop with this fabulous group of Demonstrators!

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

For this month’s blog hop and October’s PDF Tutorial we are focusing on the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog Translucent Flowers bundle. I created my lovely Halloween themed card in Autumn colors, and with the Them Bones Designer Series Paper, the Nested Essentials dies, and the Black & White Gingham ribbon.

Start with a Pumpkin Pie cardstock card base. Cut a Them Bones Designer Series Paper panel and a Basic White cardstock panel. Glue the Them Bones Designer Series Paper panel to the card base. Stamp the large flower from the Translucent Florals stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink (as these are Distinktive stamps for best results add the ink to the stamp and don’t use a super juicy ink pad) twice in the middle of the Basic White cardstock panel. Stamp the smaller flower from the Translucent Florals stamp set three times in Cajun Craze ink on the Basic White cardstock panel in between the larger flowers on the Basic White cardstock panel.

Stamp the medium flower in Pumpkin Pie ink, the small flower in Cajun Craze ink, the double leaf in Old Olive ink and the single leaf in 2nd generation (stamped off) Old Olive ink from the Translucent Florals stamp set on Basic White cardstock. Die cut out the images with the Translucent Florals dies. Add Wink of Stella to the Pumpkin Pie colored flowers for sparkle. Die cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment shape with the smallest stitched ( coffin shaped) shape with the Nested Essential dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Bags of Bones stamp set in Memento Black ink on the stitched shape.

Use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentimental shape to the card front overlapping the stamped images (put the dimensionals towards the inner part of the shape so you can tuck flowers into the top & sides and the ribbon at the bottom). Use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue dots to tuck the die cut flowers and leaves under the sentiment shape to build a bouquet. Wrap Black & White Gingham ribbon around the bottom of the built Basic White cardstock panel tucked under the bottom of the sentiment shape using Tear & Tape to secure the ends on the back of the panel. Tie a double bow with the Black & White Gingham ribbon and add it to the left side of the sentiment shape overlapping the wrapped ribbon with glue dots. Add black Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to the card front for sparkle. To give the card more of a Halloween theme feel I lightly flicked Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blend ink to the card front ( including the flowers, leaves, and sentiment shape).

Add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Add Designer Series Paper strips to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. I also stamped the medium flower in Pumpkin Pie ink and added a small flower and leaves die cuts to the bottom right of the inside panel. To continue the Halloween theme feel I lightly flicked Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blend ink onto the inside panel too.

I added the Stampin’ Up! copyright stamp from the new Stamped With Love stamp set to adhere to the Angel Policy.

I also stamped the sentiment from the Bags of Bones stamp set and the medium flower from the Translucent Floral stamp set on the back of the card.
