This week’s Global Design Project is a ‘Happily Ever After’ theme challenge. I decided to to create a card with sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set, the flowers from the Free As A Bird stamp set, and the oval frame from the Heirloom Frames with the Garden Lane DSP.
Start with a Very Vanilla cs card base. Cut a Crumb Cake cs panel, dry emboss it with the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder, and then use glue to adhere the embossed panel to the card base.
Die cut and dry emboss an oval frame from Garden Lane DSP with the Heirloom Frame dies and 3D oval embossing folder. Use glue to adhere the Garden Lane DSP oval frame to the card front.
Die cut an oval from Very Vanilla cs with the Heirloom Frame dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set in Mint Macaron ink on the Very Vanilla cs oval. Use glue to adhere the stamped Very Vanilla cs oval inside the Garden Lane DSP oval on the card front.
Stamp leaves in Mint Macaron ink and the two flower images in Calypso Coral ink from the Free As A Bird stamp set on Very Vanilla cs. Color the images with Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers for sparkle. Then use Paper Snips to fussy cut them out.
Die cut Vellum cs leave sprigs with the Frosted Frames dies. Use glue dots, glue, and Stampin’ Mini Dimensionals to build the floral bouquets on the top and bottom of the Garden Lane DSP oval with the flower images, leaves, and Vellum sprigs.
Color rhinestones with the Dark Stampin’ Blends and add them to the card front around the flower bouquets. Tie a small bow with the Mint Macaron Textile ribbon and use glue dots to adhere it to the bottom left side of the Garden Lane DSP oval. Then I spritzed the whole card with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (I added a drop of paint to a Stampin’ Spritzer and mixed with rubbing Alcohol) to give the entire card shimmer.
I also added a strip of the Garden Lane DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
