Global Design Project 209 – Color Challenge with Snow Front

This week’s Global Design Project is a bright color challenge. I decided to use the 2019 Holiday Catalog Snow Front stamp set to create a lovely forest scene.

Snow Front Photopolymer Stamp Set
#150483
Price: $22.00

Start with a Blueberry Bushel cs card base. Cut the Real Red cs and Whisper White cs panels. Use the Aqua Painter to add some Blueberry Bushel ink to the top of the Whisper White cs panel (use only a light amount of water so the Whisper White cs won’t pill).

Stamp all the tree images from the Snow Front stamp set in the Call Me Clover ink (stamping off for color variation) to create a forest across and down the left side of the Whisper White cs panel.

Stamp the pond and flowing water images from the Snow Front stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink (stamp off for color variation) to the right side of the card front. Use the aqua painter to lightly blend the Blueberry Bushel ink of the water to soften the edges.

Stamp birds from the Snow Front stamp set in Real Red ink on a few of the trees. Add Wink of Stella to the birds and the water for sparkle.

Glue the stamped Whisper White cs panel to the Real Red cs panel. Wrap the panels with a piece of Linen Thread several times and secure with knot in the back of the panel. Glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Stamp the sentiment from the First Frost stamp set in Real Red ink on Whisper White cs scrap. Die cut out the sentiment with the Stitched Nested Label Dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label to the card front on the right side of the card front overlapping the linen thread. Make a double bow with piece of Linen Thread and use a glue dot to adhere it to the bottom of the sentiment label. Add a clear Faceted dot in the center of the bow.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write you message. I stamped the sentiment from the Snowman Season stamp set and trees from the Snow Front stamp set to the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.
