Earthen Textures Bundle Thank You Card

For this week’s Global Design Project color challenge I used the lovely 2023-2024 Annual Catalog Earthen Textures bundle. I created a light color wash of Pumpkin Pie as a background for the pot and wrapped the pot with black baker’s twine.

Start with a Cajun Craze cardstock card base. Cut a Pumpkin Pie cardstock panel and a Very Vanilla cardstock panel. Dry emboss the Very Vanilla cardstock panel with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. Glue the embossed Very Vanilla cardstock to the Pumpkin Pie cardstock panel and then glue the panels to the card base.

Cut a Cajun Craze cardstock panel. Die cut a Very Vanilla cardstock stitched scalloped rectangle with the Scalloped Contours dies. Use a water painter to add Pumpkin Pie color wash down the right side of the scalloped rectangle. Stamp the small pot and two pampas grass images from the Earthen Textures stamp set in Cajun Craze ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. Die cut out the images with the Earthen Textures dies. Die cut out a Cajun Craze cardstock pot top with the Earthen Textures dies. Glue the pot top to the pot. Die cut out two Vellum cardstock fonds with the Earthen Textures dies. Wrap the pot with black baker’s twine and use Tear & Tape to hold the ribbon in place. Add the die cut pampas grass (a full & a frond) and the Vellum cardstock fronds to the wrapped pot with glue dots and then add the pot to the bottom right side of the scalloped rectangle.

Cut a Very Vanilla cardstock sentiment panel and a Pumpkin Pie cardstock sentiment layer panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Earthen Textures stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Very Vanilla cardstock sentiment panel. Using the sentiment panel as a guide gently tear the panel and then glue the Very Vanilla cardstock sentiment panel on it.

Glue the built scalloped rectangle to the Cajun Craze cardstock panel and then glue the panels to the embossed card front panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiments to the card front overlapping the pot and embossed panel. Tie a small black baker’s twine bow and use glue dots to add it to the top of the pot. Add black Classic Matte Dots to the card front under the sentiment panels.

Cut a Very Vanilla cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment in Memento Black ink and the pompas grass in Cajun Craze ink from the Earthen Textures stamp set on the inside panel. Add a embossed Very Vanilla cardstock strip to the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.
