Changing Leaves Splendid Autumn DSP Card

For this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge I created a lovely Hello Autumn themed card. I used the gorgeous Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper, the Changing Leaves Hybrid embossing folder, and the sentiment from the Unbounded Love stamp set to create my card.

Start with a Crumb Cake cardstock card base. Cut a Cajun Craze cardstock panel, dry emboss the panel with the Changing Leaves Hybrid embossing folder, and then glue the embossed panel to the card base.

Cut two Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper panels. Glue the bottom panel in the center of the card front slightly askew. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the second Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper panel overlapping the bottom panel and also askew.

Die cut a Crumb Cake cardstock stitched banner. Stamp the sentiment from the Unbounded Love stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Die cut out the sentiment with the Stylish Shapes dies stitched banner (die cut it twice to shorten the banner). Glue the Basic White cardstock sentiment banner on the Crumb Cake cardstock banner. Wrap the end of the sentiment banner with the Copper Clay linen thread from the Natural Tones Linen Thread and tie in a knot. Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the built sentiment stitched banner on the card front overlapping the Designer Series Paper and embossed panel. Add Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots to the card front under the left side of the stitched sentiment banner.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of Designer Series Paper down the right side of the inside panel (& across the bottom on the back) and stamp the sentiment from the Unbounded Love stamp set in Memento Black ink on the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.

Splendid Autumn DSP panels – two 3 1/2″ x 2 1/4″ panels and one 4 1/8″ x 1″ strip & one 1/2″ x 5″strip.
Crumb Cake cs stitched banner – die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies.
Basic White cs stitched sentiment banner – die cut (twice to shorten) with the Stylish Shapes dies.
Basic White cs inside panel – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
