Happiness Abounds & Abigail Rose DSP Card

Welcome and Thank you for visiting Christy’s Stamping Spot! I’m Christy and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Arizona, USA. I’m excited to be taking part in the Across the Waves Blog Hop with this fabulous group of Demonstrators from around the world!

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

The theme for May is Flowers. I created this lovely vintage Happiness Abounds stamp set & Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper (DSP) card. I used Soft Suede cardstock & dry embossed Blushing Bride cardstock to compliment the neutral tones of the Abigail Rose DSP.

Start with a Soft Suede cardstock (cs) card base. Cut a Blushing Bride cs panel and an Abigail Rose DSP panel. Dry emboss the Blushing Bride cs panel with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. Cut the Abigail Rose DSP panel into two panels. Glue the panels to the embossed Blushing Bride cs panel flipping the top piece so that you can see both sides of the DSP. Cut a Blushing Bride cs strip, dry emboss it with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder, and then glue the embossed strip across the transition of both DSP pieces. Wrap the built panel with Linen Thread and then tie a small bow. Use glue to add the wrapped panels to the card base.

Die cut a Basic White cs stitched circle with the Stylish Shapes dies. Die cut a Soft Suede cs scalloped circle with the Layering Circles. Stamp the flower from the Happiness Abounds stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the Basic White cs stitched circle. I used a Blender Pen with Blushing Bride ink (I added a few dots of refill on a clear D block) to add color to the flower. Add Wink of Stella to the flower outline for sparkle. Glue the stamped stitched circle to the scalloped circle and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the circles to the right side of the card front overlapping the wrapped Linen Thread.

Stamp the sentiment from the Happiness Abounds stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Basic White cs. Use paper snips to cut out the sentiment and use Stampin’ Dimensionals & glue dots to add it to the card front overlapping the stamped circles under the Linen Thread bow. Add Iridescent rhinestones to the card front for extra sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment & small flower bouquet image from the Happiness Abounds stamp set in Soft Suede ink and a strip of DSP to the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Happiness Abounds & Abigail Rose DSP card. You can order the Happiness Abounds stamp set, the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper, the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder, the Stylish Shapes Dies, and the Layering Circles Dies in my Online Store.
